Additionally\, digital communication such as text messaging\, email\, mobile apps\, games\, social media\, and video conferencing is replacing genuine face-to-face interaction.\n\n \n\nCorrelated with this proliferation of technology is an alarming increase in mental health problems. Anxiety has become the most common mental illness in the United States\, and depression is now the leading cause of illness and disability worldwide (WHO). The National Center for Emotional Wellness is committed to promoting emotional wellness for individuals\, organizations\, and communities in our era of technological advancement. \n\n \n\nMark D. Lerner\, Ph.D.\, is a clinical and forensic psychologist with four decades of experience helping people through challenging times. As chairman of The National Center for Emotional Wellness\, Dr. Lerner provides accessible education\, engaging presentations\, and innovative consultation for individuals\, organizations\, and communities.\n\n \n\nDr. Lerner has consulted with and presented internationally at hospitals\, pharmaceutical companies\, airlines\, universities and schools\, police and fire departments\, the Federal Bureau of Investigation\, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security\, the U.S. Coast Guard\, and the United Nations in New York and Paris\, France.
