During his tenure\, Alexian Brothers approved the largest campus construction project in the last 15 years\, with plans to add a dedicated Neurosciences inpatient unit and four new operating rooms to the hospital. Dan has previously served as the Chief Operating Officer at Ascension Alexian Brothers\, the COO at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee\, WI and the Vice President of Operations at Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Advocate Trinity Hospital.\n\nDan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Vanessa has held this role for over the last two years\, and has been part of the greater Ascension system for twenty years. A nurse by background\, Vanessa has held other roles in the system such as Regional Director of Patient Care Services for both Mercy Medical Center in Aurora\, Illinois and Saint Joseph\, in Elgin Illinois. He also collaborated with key administrative\, clinical\, operational\, and philanthropic stakeholders to build the first residential facility for that health system: the Foglia Family Foundation Residential Treatment Program\, a 48-bed anxiety and addiction program\, which opened in Spring 2017.\n\nAdditionally\, oversees the Ascension Illinois Behavioral Medicine Institute with operational oversight of additional hospital and community based psychiatric and ambulatory health programs throughout the northwest and metro areas of Chicago.
