Collaboration: Why We Need More of It and How to Get It
Collaboration versus compromise – what’s the difference? The words are often used interchangeably, but the outcomes are very different. A compromise means both parties gave up part of what they wanted. True collaboration requires:
1. A deeper understanding of each party’s needs, and
2. Problem solving to move beyond compromise to get to an agreement that meets those needs.
How do you do that? For a start, what has “high value” to one party, but is “low cost” to the other?
Join us to learn more about the skills required to collaborate from Janet Knupp of Knupp Partners. Janet has been teaching and coaching collaboration and influence for over 20 years to business professionals all over the world.
