“'You do what?’ – How learning to sell your unknown services is the key to your business’s success”
You have likely heard of your USP – your unique selling proposition. But what about your other USP – your unknown services provided? Each of us has aspects of our business that make it unique, and likely unknown, to the general public. Being able to leverage the opportunity that is offered when nobody knows what you do or how you do it can be the key to your business taking off.
Back in 2014, Julie and I brought an unknown service (Muscle Activation Techniques®) to a brand new market (Schaumburg). Unlike many businesses that at least do something people have heard about, we were faced with the challenges of 1) Educating our community on what it is we do, 2) Explaining why what we do is important, and 3) Getting people to buy into the idea that we solve a problem that they don’t even know they have.
Once we realized that our biggest opportunity was in the stories that we tell during live and virtual interactions, we were able to leverage these stories to turn them into our biggest asset for growing our business.
During this presentation, we will discuss the importance of identifying what is currently unknown about your business and practical steps to turning the unknown into the thing that your prospective customers and clients seek out when they look to invest in your services.
