Featuring Stephen Sloan, Director of the Business Gift Division of Harry & David. Before joining Harry & David, Stephen led software, business supplies, and marketing businesses and has served on a number of boards in both the private and not-for-profit realms. He’s passionate about education; he taught high school literature, history, and world religions and, later, philosophy and geometry to senior citizens. He tutors gifted high school and college students, has guest lectured on business ethics at UCLA, and has served on private school boards. He approaches selling the same he does teaching; first connect, then learn, finally, if you have earned the right by connecting and learning, teach.
