Representatives from the District 54 Education Foundation will share how the Foundation supports students today and prepares students for tomorrow – and how you can get involved.

Did you know that 22 percent of the students in Schaumburg School District 54 qualify for the federal free lunch program? That means 30 percent of the students live in a household where the annual salary is less than $32,000 for a family of four.

The Foundation has made a commitment to serving those students through breakfast programs at the schools, student grants for extracurricular activities and after-school STEM programming (science, technology, engineering and math), so that all children have the same opportunities.

Since its founding in 1987 the Foundation has donated nearly $1 million to fund these and other initiatives in support of students.
