About the Speaker – James Cheng
James Cheng grew up in Schaumburg, and if you’d asked his high school coach, James wasn’t exactly “leadership material.” Fast forward to today—James is a West Point graduate, a former U.S. Army officer with multiple deployments, and holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
More importantly, James is a lifelong student of leadership—someone who’s learned (sometimes the hard way) that leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room. It’s about understanding people, shaping culture, and showing up with purpose.
Whether you’re running a business, leading a team, or just trying to get better at leading yourself, James brings real-world insights you can apply immediately to your own life and work.
