Prevent workplace violence

Targeted violence is a serious risk but one that can be planned for.  Workplace violence and active shooter events are on the rise.

The Schaumburg Police department, Hillard Heintze, and the Schaumburg Business Association will help local business leaders understand targeted violence and describe who is an active shooter and what motivates an active shooter.

To understand a targeted violence event, one must understand the threat assessment process and what red flags could indicate a potential problem.

Hillard Heitze and Schaumburg Police subject matter experts will describe what an Active Shooter Plan should entail; how companies can prevent, prepare, respond and recover from a targeted violence event.

There is no cost for this 90-minute presentation that will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday February 13th at the Schaumburg Police Department (1000 W. Schaumburg Rd.). Please reserve your seat by contacting Sgt. John Nebl at 847.882.3534 or jnebl@ci.schaumburg.il.us
