About Us
Little City Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives. Since 1959, Little City has been a trusted leader in providing comprehensive, person-centered supports that promote inclusion, dignity, and lifelong growth.
Our beautiful 56-acre campus in Palatine serves as the heart of our organization, offering residential homes, therapeutic and recreational programs, specialized education, and employment training that help individuals achieve their personal goals. In addition, Little City operates facilities in Schaumburg and Grayslake that extend our mission into the broader community, creating opportunities for skill development, job placement, and social engagement.
To meet the needs of children and families, we also provide extensive foster care and adoption services through our offices in Chicago and Matteson. These programs ensure that children with complex needs find safe, loving, and supportive homes where they can thrive.
Today, Little City proudly serves nearly 1,000 children and adults across the greater Chicagoland area. Our dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to create environments where every person is valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Through collaboration with community partners, local businesses, and supporters, we continue to build a more inclusive society—one that celebrates ability, promotes independence, and transforms lives every day.
